World Food Day observed in NSTU

World Food Day 2020 has observed in Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU).

On 16 October, the Department of Food Technology and Nutrition Science (FTNS) of the university organized a virtual program to observe the day. Besides, poster presentation competition was held to on the theme of "Smart Solutions for Healthy Diet".

In the virtual program, the Chief Guest was NSTU VC Professor Dr. Md. Didar-ul-Alam while the Guest Speakers were Dr. Md. Zahir Ullah (Senior Scientific Officer and in charge of Noakhali Rigional Office of BIRTAN) and Rimu Byadya (Head of Gender & Inclusion in Food and Nutrition security, WFP, Bangladesh)

Among others, Dr. Mohammad Salim Hossain (Dean, Faculty of science), Professor Dr. Firoz Ahmed (Chairman of Department of Microbiology and Head COVID-19 testing lab, NSTU) and the teachers, students of FTNS were present.

The program was presided over by Md Abdullah Al Mamun (Assistant Professor & Chairman(Acting) of Department of
FTNS) and conducted by Tashdidul Islam Sayeem (4th Batch student of FTNS).
