A webinar will be held in North South University (NSU) on 14 November to celebrate World Diabetes Day 2021. The webinar is organised by Public Health & Sciences Club of North South University (NSU PHSC).
The webinar will start from 8 pm on that day. The webinar will be held on the theme of the World Diabetes Day 2021 “Access to diabetes care” and live broadcast from the the page of NSU PHSC.

It is to be mentioned that, almost 415 million (by 2019) people around the world are affecting from diabates.
In Bangladesh there are almost 8.4 million (by 2019) affected adults. Several studies have shown
that the prevalence of diabetes among adults has increased continuously in Bangladesh, from 5%
(in 2001) to 14% (in 2017). Responding to the rapid growing concern about the health threat due
to Diabetes, WHO has announced 14 November an official UN Day in 2006, on the birthday of
Sir Frederick Banting, who co-discovered insulin along with Charles Best in 1922.
