The Prime Minister's Education Support Trust has been issued a scholarship notice for recognition and encouragement to the unique meritorious Post Graduate students studying at Jagannath University (JnU) on the occasion of the celebration of Mujib's Borsho.
This information was given in a circular signed by the University’s Registrar Engineer Md. Ohiduzzaman on the order of the Acting Vice-Chancellor on Thursday.
The notification said that the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, under the Ministry of Education, the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust on the occasion of the celebration of Mujib Borsho to recognize and encourage meritorious post graduate students to select "Bangabandhu Scholar" and award scholarships to students studying at Jagannath University from May 5. Applications will be ended on May 9 till 2 pm.
It is further said that regular students studying in postgraduate education with graduation/equivalent level can apply for Bangabandhu Scholarship. Under the terms of the scholarship 3 out of the certificates obtained from the recognized board of education/university should have first division in 3 examinations or GPA 5 graduates in SSC and HSC should have CGPA 3.70 for the scholarship.
In addition, students who do not receive a scholarship from a government source will not be considered eligible to apply if convicted of a criminal offense. Certificate of SSC, HSC and Graduation (Honours) examination, number sheet and certificate of Extra Curricular Achievements and copy of required paper work must be attested with the application form.
The required documents have to be submitted to the Registrar's Office by filling the form accurately within the stipulated date. The prescribed application form (www.pmeat.gov.bd) is also available on the website.
